As we approach the long weekend, we as a community should be proud of the efforts we have made to prevent the spread of COVID-19. By following the restrictions we have entered the next phase of the recovery. We are also slowly adjusting things at school in line with the lowering of restrictions. Unfortunately we will still have to adhere to some restrictions for the foreseeable future. The “stop, drop and go” and limited adult entry into the school will still apply for the time being, as will the no assemblies, sporting carnivals or play on equipment after school. Hopefully we will be able to have some of these types of activities back later in the year.
Thank you to all of the students and parents who have returned their library books. We still have quite a few outstanding, so please bring them back as soon as possible. You don’t need to wait until your child’s library day, just bring them in to school and we can process them on any day. I have been very impressed with the discussions I’ve had with many students on the books they have read during the working from home period and the holidays. It is great to see the love of reading being fostered at home as well as at school.
Today marks the first day of our new lunch order system and partnership with T’nT Fresh It Up. The menu and pricing are very much designed to accommodate our families needs and align with the state canteen guidelines. The feedback that we have received so far in venturing in this partnership has been very positive and we look forward to a successful partnership into the future.
Yours in partnership,
Brett Hay
Willow has just entered the Premier's Reading challenge. Her goal is to read two chapters of Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets every week for the next five weeks. Good luck Willow and well done on joining the competition. It's definitely not too late to join up.
This fun and free event will go all term. Students are encouraged to read 10 books in 10 weeks.

Each month we present two Aussie of the Month awards. Normally, this is done during our assemblies. Unfortunately, with Covid-19 restrictions, this hasn’t been possible so Mr Hay has been presenting the awards via youTube. Aussie of the Month awards aim to recognise and celebrate active citizenship and community contribution in our schools. Congratulations to our June recipients: Willow and Hunter
