One of the great features of our school is the access to the bush that surrounds our school boundary. Our students utilise the area for learning and play and we have been lately accessing the area for bush play at lunch times. It is such a pleasure to watch our children playing games, building cubbies, using their imaginations and interacting with each other with positiveness and kindness. We have the odd disagreement, scratch from a stick and sometimes a leech, but overall it is a powerful learning experience. We are very lucky to have such an accessible resource right on our doorstep.
We still have some students coming to school without a jumper or jacket. Please ensure that your child is adequately dressed for the conditions, particularly in the morning when the temperature is hovering around 0 degrees! We are also collecting a range of lost property without any names on it. Please label clearly all clothing items so we can return them directly to the rightful owner.
I will again be presenting the merit certificates, Aussies of the month and a special Reach for the Stars certificate via the YouTube links today, so please click on those and share within our community. I’ve really enjoyed being able to connect with many more people this way and is something we will continue into the future even when we are able to again have assemblies.
Yours in partnership,
Brett Hay
