5/6 Science Week Excursion
As part of National Science Week celebrations, grade 5/6 classes attended three Young Tassie Scientist sessions on Wednesday 10 August. The sessions were held at the George Town Community Hub and coordinated locally with the amazing help of Tanya Nettlefold.
The Young Tassie Scientists program involves early career researchers and professionals who are passionate about their work and present talks and activities based on their field of expertise. The sessions this year included mapping in Antarctica, keeping the brain healthy with neuroscience and marine biology and the study of great white sharks.
