On Tuesday, our continuing Esk Band musicians travelled to Newstead College to rehearse a repertoire with East Launceston, Punchbowl and Glen Dhu Primary Schools.  We spent 2 hours playing and refining 4 pieces of music. Coming together for such rehearsals helps us to work together with others, make new friends and connect with the greater community. 

Our combined-school band will perform this music in Launceston City Park towards the end of the year, along with 2 other combined-school bands.  It is always an amazing experience playing in a band of 50 players; we get to hear so much more than we do in our smaller school band, and working together towards the same goal brings great fun and a strong sense of belonging.
