From the Principal
Can you believe it is the end of Term 3 already! What a fantastic 10 weeks we’ve had filled with all manner of learning experiences.
Following on from our involvement with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra we proudly opened our “Sense of Place” garden for our Aboriginal students, both kindly supported by Bell Bay Aluminium. Our community partners are significant supporters and contributors to our school and allow us to engage in providing all of our students amazing experiences and opportunities for learning they otherwise might not be afforded. We were delighted to have many of our community come and celebrate the garden opening with us and thank Susan Mansell for her vision in bringing the project to life.
We’ve recently also had students competing at sporting events as well. The Country Gold carnivals were run last Friday and our students all participated with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. So too our athletics team participated in the TPSSA athletics carnival and represented our school with great pride and success. We are always very proud of our teams when they represent us as they always uphold our school values.
Once again I would like to highlight the combined effort of our students and teachers in striving to improve our writing across the school. It has been amazing to see the personal growth within our teachers translate to improved achievement in our students, and the support from home with our home writing has also contributed significantly.
A reminder that when school resumes for term 4 we will be back into school hat wearing. Make sure that you have your hat organised for the first day back. Have a fantastic and safe break and we can’t wait to see you all back for another great term.
