From the Principal
As we head into Easter and term one school holidays, we can reflect on a successful year so far. An important focus at South George Town Primary School is the work we do about increasing and improving social skills through our Positive Behaviour Support program. It is therefore, rewarding when we continue to receive positive feedback about the behaviour and attitude of our students. Last week a large group of grades three to six students competed for South George Town Primary School with pride at the TPSSA Athletics Carnival. The staff who were at the event could not have been prouder of how they represented our school. Also, last week, a member of the Red Cross team who had visited our grades three and four classes for the Pillow Case Project, rang the school office to express her delight at the enthusiasm and exemplary behaviour of the students. This ability to get on with others and behave calmly and respectfully allows our students to focus on the most important work of a school, namely, academic learning.
We wish families a happy and safe Easter and term break and thank you for your continued support. We will see you again for term two on Wednesday 26th April.
