From the Principal
Have you been watching the 50 Gems of George Town? They certainly are great little videos showcasing and celebrating what’s so fantastic about our great town and municipality. I could certainly relate to the Low Head foghorn episode- the first time I heard it was one day after a fishing trip in my tinny and I was only a few hundred metres out the front. It certainly got my attention.
It was wonderful to see some of the fantastic learning and work our students have been doing in the area of antibullying, being show cased by the Education Department across their social media outlets. We are proud of our efforts in supporting our students in developing positive relationships, empathy and kindness. We know we will always have work to do in this regard, but our children and staff have certainly embraced our focus area over the past fortnight and continue to build our skills and understanding in this important area.
Our students who have been selected in the representative team for the Tamar athletics carnival are very excited about tomorrow. I know that they will represent us well, uphold our values and strive to do their very best. We wish them all luck. Go South!
Yours in partnership,
Brett Hay
