LEGO Competition Wrap Up

The LEGO Competition is done and dusted for another year. Again, it was a major success with 50 students entering. This means about one out of every four students at our school got actively involved in thinking, designing, making, talking and writing about their Lego creation. Year 4 was our most popular age group this year, with 11 students entering.

A big thank you to all parents, friends and family members who helped out or encouraged our students to get involved in this highly creative competition. The names of our winners from each age group are shown below.

A special congratulations go to Alyssa who was our overall school winner this year. Judges were very impressed with Alyssa’s chicken and hatching chook. Alyssa’s creation was definitely original and eye catching with a fair bit of technical skill also required.

We look forward to running the Lego competition again next year. If your child has not received their certificate yet then please see Mr Baty to collect it. Well done to all students who entered and thank you to all spectators (adults and kids) who came to look and support the competition. It certainly has brought an extra element of excitement and enthusiasm to our primary corridor over the last couple of weeks.

Students are now asked to take their Lego designs home with them. We would also strongly encourage you, once home, to thoroughly clean and disinfect your child’s Lego.
