On Monday we held our annual cross country. It was great to see so many students participating and trying their best.

A big thank you to Miss Fish for organising the day. Thank you also to our fabulous older students who ran all afternoon, in their own races and then again to support our younger students.

This supportiveness is what makes South George Town Primary School such a special place! There are more photos on our school's facebook page. 

A Cross Country report from Miss Fish

The points margin between the houses was the closest it has been in a while, so I do feel Wattle are ready for a big year in 2023. Final points were:

Banksia – 399 points

Wattle – 324 points

A big thank you to all the people that assisted throughout the day whether that be on the finish line or supporting the students. To our grounds people for helping me prepare the track, a huge thanks also.

The grade 6 students that ran throughout the day to support our younger students also did a fantastic job as did some Grade 5 students that stood around the track on check points prior to their event.

To all the students that participated I say a massive well done – everyone did their best which is what we spoke about during PE lessons. Seeing lots of smiles as people crossed the finish line also made for a great day!! 

Well done to everyone and good luck to those who will be taking part in the TPSSA carnival on Wednesday 1^st June at Beaconsfield.
